Winebot says humans have that certain "je ne sais quoi"

To the left is a prototype robotic sommelier developed by engineers ain Japan at NEC System Technologies. His/her left arm is a spectrometer that can identify the composition of a number of wines and suggest potential food pairings. According to the AP article, "When a reporter's hand was placed against the robot's taste sensor, it was identified as prosciutto. A cameraman was mistaken for bacon."

Hmmm. For me, when I want that certain bacon essence, I think I'll stick with the '06 Chez Ray Stage Gulch Vineyard Syrah from Sonoma.
